On-site fieldwork has been the basis of my studies, work experience in mining geology and mineral exploration.
  • Classical field geology, including regional geology, underground mapping at mines, detailed surface mapping along with drilling, use of electrical, magnetic, gravity methods, trace-element and isotope geochemistry, optical, and microprobe  and scanning electron microscope, mineralogical, petrographic and petrologic studies all can be, and have been, used by me, as needed, as exploration tools in mining geology. These classical methods are to be blended with relatively new technological breakthroughs to provide a more accurate and realistic view of the real geologic field; and they can and may eliminate the guesswork and the "possible," and in some cases far-reaching hypotheses and interpretations that bias data collection in geology sometimes to justify preconceived notions, by increasing the number of known factual data points.  
  • Exploration for mineralization and  evaluating known ore reserves requires a thorough four dimensional knowledge of the rocks that are being investigated.  I find my experiences, as summarized in my University Studies, Work History, Contributions to Science, Mineral property examinations, Publications, Language skills, Foreign experience, and Pro Bono activities  may be readily usable in  Technical Instruction and  Research used in combination with rapidly developing tools.
